The area of Orini Nafpaktia, or Kravara as it was called before, is a fascinating mountain destination located in the eastern part of Etoloakarnania , north of Nafpaktos and between Lake Trichonida and Fokida. At the southern end of Pindos, Oxia, Panaitoliko and Vardousia, having to the south Mornos, Evinos and the tributary of Kotsalos, includes about 55 villages, “small eagle nests” in the heart of lush forests of fir, walnut, beech and chestnuts.
The interest is currently focused in terms of tourism infrastructure but also alternative forms of tourism and “tourism experience” which are developing: in Municipal Unit of Apodotia with a focus on Ano Chora and the most famous settlements: Kato Chora, Ambelakiotissa, Elatou, Kryoneria and Grammeni Oxia, in Municipal Unit of Platanos focusing on Platanos and the villages of Agios Dimitrios, Neochori, Arachova, Klepa, Perdikovrisi with the magnificent view of the beautiful artificial lake of Evinos, in Municipal Unit of Pylini with focus on the settlement of Simos and the villages of Paliopyrgos, Eleftheriani, Stranoma.
In mountainous Nafpaktia you will find landscapes and experiences from authentic Greek countryside (natural paths that connect settlements with stone houses, forests, waterfalls, rivers and lakes, tsipouro, wine, chestnuts, mushrooms, festivals and encounters).
